Cutera Excel V™ is a new laser system for providing treatment to a variety of skin conditions. Excel V treats vascular conditions by administering a high power green laser that is absorbed by the abnormal blood vessels in the skin.

The Benefits

Excel V is effective at treating a number of conditions, including rosacea, spider veins, leg veins, port wine stains, cherry angiomas and benign pigmented lesions such as sun spots. It is particularly good at eliminating veins around the nose, cheeks and even large veins around the eyes.

The Procedure

The laser heats the abnormal vessels causing the vein walls to collapse and seal shut.

Over time, the vessels will no longer be visible. While some patients may be satisfied after just one treatment, two or more treatments may be needed to achieve the desired results.

Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, your final results may not be apparent for several months.
